about

New recording of a song first heard on Neil's 'Badger EP' which featured songs from the play 'Partick Thistle Football Crazy'.

lyrics

autograph hunting

I always stood outside the players entrance
With my autograph book and pen
Eagerly awaiting the emergence of
Those i idolised at ten
And my dad would stand a few yards away
Living out his dreams through me
And if i have a son i'm gonna use him
To get some autographs for me

Dougie somners' signature
Had a page all to itself
Bobby Houstons page read 'Badger'
At my very own request
I got Jackie Campbells' autograph
At the wall behind the goal
I must have looked at that page
At least a hundred times
Between Maryhill and home

Then, running late for a game, on an 18 bus
I must have put that red book down
I was already in 'the shed' when i realised
That my autograph book was gone
When i got home that night
I lay on my bed, and cried and cried and cried
On the day i lost that little red book
A part of me just died
